RESiLiTE annual on-site consortium meeting
5th March 2026 – RESiLiTE held its second consortium meeting in Matosinhos, Portugal, between 5-7th May, hosted by INOVA+. The meeting brough together representatives from all the project partners’ institutions, including KAUTEX TEXTRON, INOVA+, RWTH Aachen University, University of Ljubljana, Infineon Technologies, FUNDACION CIDETEC, Fraunhofer LBF, Fraunhofer EMI and AIR Energy.
The consortium meeting represented a valuable opportunity for partners to engage in deeper discussions, understand the project status, including completed, ongoing, and upcoming activities, and helped identify challenges encountered during implementation and encouraged reflection on opportunities for future improvement.
Day 1
The first day of the meeting kicked off with a welcome from the hosts, INOVA+.
The afternoon was dedicated to key project updates and insightful discussions across several work areas, and discussions began with project management and coordination (WP1), led by Kautex Textron, as project coordinator, and INOVA+, as support of the coordination. This session covered overall project progress, key updates, and financial management procedures.
Next, Togg and RWTH Aachen University presented the latest developments on end-user requirements and system architecture (WP2), followed by a session on mechanical and termal design (WP3), led by RWTH, KT, and TOGG.
Day 2
The second day of the RESiLiTE consortium meeting started with exchanges concerning multilevel testing and benchmarking (WP6), led by Kautex, Fraunhofer, and Air Energy. This was followed by a session on battery modelling, BMS development, and validation (WP4), with contributions from Infineon Technologies, CIDETEC, the University of Ljubljana, and RWTH Aachen University. The morning concluded with an overview and updates on manufacturing and assembly (WP5), presented by Kautex and Air Energy, followed by discussions on multilevel testing and benchmarking (WP6), this time led by RWTH, Cidetec and Fraunhaufer.
In the afternoon, participants split into parallel working sessions to maximise discussion time and encourage more focused technical exchanges. These sessions addressed topics related to mechanical and thermal design and manufacturability (WP3/WP5), as well as BMS and diagnostics (WP4)
Following the day’s technical sessions, partners had the opportunity to visit the city of Porto and its surroundings through a guided walk, providing an informal setting for networking, strengthening collaboration, and fostering further exchange among consortium members outside the meeting environment.
Day 3
The last day of the meeting started with an overview of the parallel sessions presented by KATEX.
Then, discussions followed on sustainability and LCA, led by Fraunhaufer and RWTH, and dissemination, communication and collaboration with other initiatives, (WP8) led by INOVA+.
The meeting concluded with a final coordination session led by the project coordinator, Kautex Textron, together with project partners, where the key outcomes of the meeting were summarised and the next steps for the RESiLiTE project where outlined.
