RESiLiTE kicks off with a consortium meeting in Bonn, Germany
9th July 2025 – The Horizon Europe co‑funded RESiLiTE project – Robust, Economical, Silicon‑rich, Lightweight, and Thermally Efficient battery packs – officially launched with its kick‑off meeting in Bonn on 9 July 2025.
Twenty‑five participants, including two who joined remotely, represented the project’s partner organisations: Kautex Textron, RWTH Aachen University, University of Ljubljana, Infineon Technologies, CIDETEC, Fraunhofer LBF, INOVA+, Air Energy Entwicklungs GmbH & Co KG, and Togg.
The day opened with a welcome address from Carsten Elsasser, Kautex’s Director of Innovation & Strategy, followed by insights and guidance from Alexandru Ghiurca, CINEA Project Advisor (on behalf of Ms Monica Giannini, Project Officer).
Work package leaders then introduced the project’s technical scope and key challenges. The consortium held constructive discussions throughout the day and concluded with a roundtable to capture open items and actions for the next phase.

RESiLiTE will design and demonstrate innovative battery packs for automotive applications, with a pathway to extend the technology to aircraft. The project is co‑funded by the European Union under the Horizon Europe programme.
